We were called in to Projects after they had become disillusioned by their nationwide contractor, who was over-promising and under-delivering. Plants were dying, and the wrong plants were being used as replacements and not thriving.

The brief
Projects required a full, sitewide audit to discover which plants were where throughout their building, whether they were salvageable, and – if so – whether we could relocate them onsite to get them looking their best.
We then set about creating a maintenance plan for the interior, while designing and planting up their roof terrace garden.
The result
We wanted the plants in the roof terrace to achieve three things. First, to achieve year-round interest despite the bitter salt winds. Attracting local pollinators was also a huge priority, given that being around nature at work can be such a wonderful stress alleviator – perfect in an office environment (and particularly a B Corp like Projects).
We also wanted a colour scheme that sat within the vista rather than distracted from it. Projects’ view from the terrace is so incredible that I wanted the vista to do most of the singing, the plants complementing it with gentle backing vocals.
Due to the terrace’s location, it was paramount that we installed an automated watering system to keep the plants from getting stressed. In all, we were able to deeply understand the plants’ environment and provide appropriate greenery that flourished.
